Administration & City Hall

The Administrative team at City Hall is responsible for personnel management, budget and finance, public outreach, records keeping, legal compliance, and carrying out the policies implemented by the Governing Body.

The Administration Department is also responsible for developing and recommending alternative solutions to community problems for consideration by the Mayor and City Council, developing new programs and measures to meet emerging and future needs of the City, residents, and business owners.

City Administrator, Mike Brungardt

The City Administrator is appointed by the Mayor and City Council as the chief administrative officer of the city and is charged with the efficient and effective administration of the city.

Assistant City Administrator, Brandon Mills

The Assistant City Administrator supervises the Administrative Services Department and Parks and Recreation Departments.  In addition to those duties, the position is responsible for strategic initiatives, policy research, program implementation, special projects, and serves as the City Clerk

Duties Include: 

  • Managing City Insurance program and claims
  • Public Arts Programs
  • Draft City Policies 
  • Legislative Research 
  • Grant Administration 
  • Preparation of all City Council agendas and minutes for City Council meetings 
  • Receives, reviews, and issues permits for all City-regulated business 
  • Human Resources
  • Ensure Compliance with Kansas Open Records and Open Meeting Acts 
  • Maintains Code of Ordinances
